Ebay opinions (please???)

okay, so I'm going through some major financial problems (as in, college next semester might not be happening ), and I'm getting ready to try and sell things on ebay (things I love, adore, need.... but going to college is more important. I've never sold on ebay before, so I was wondering if you all, being intelligent theatre people, could give me an idea of fair prices to charge for these items. Here's my list:

Starlight Express US tour souvineer brochure, signed by most of the cast

Us Tour Stex playbill, signed by most of the cast

Starlight Express - 2002 (I think?) Bochum souvineer brochure, signed by many cast members

The Musical - Korean musical theatre magizine. Articles (with pictures!) on many shows, including CATS... in Korean.

Children Of Eden - original london costume

Dance Of The Vampires - playbill autographed by Micheal Crawford

Dracula: The Musical - extra large poster (given out to about forty fans) signed by Tom Hewitt (Dracula - also Frank N. Furter in b'way Rocky Horrorr show revival)

Dracula: The Musical - Playbill Autographed by most of the cast

Leaflets/postcards/stickers/misc: Leaflets for tons of musicals from Broadway, London, Germany, Austria, Korea, Japan, Poland, and the Czech republic

German random musical highlight CD thingies - put out by Stella... three songs each, different singers than on the cast recordings

Micheal Crawford - Autographed CD


Okay... I know that's sort of a big list, but I really would appreciate any help.

Well... I'm not really sure how much I can help, but start by checking on Ebay for items similar to what you're selling. Track them, see what they sell for... it's reasonable to expect that sort of money. Start the bidding at your lowest price you'd sell them for, and put a "Buy it now" at your ideal price... but be aware it's not likely to get as much as you hope for.

Also, sell several items together, like the Michael Crawford CD and the Vampires poster, and put the Dracula stuff together. People are happier to bid more for several items than just one.

The Children of Eden dress- you need to majorly sell it, talk it up, what an amazing, unique opportunity to own your own part of theatre history, never again, yadda yadda.

Good luck with it! I know it's nasty to have to sell beautiful things, but you're right that college is more important. Things can be replaced.

I think I'll also start by selling off the things I'm not quite so in love with. I don't actually *like* Micheal Crawford anyway, so his autograph won't be so hard to part with. I can always burn myself a copy of my Dracula CD...

I'll most likely have trouble parting with my korean theatre magizine, the German programme, and the US tour stuff. *sighs*

have you tried looking for a job on campus? or somewhere near campus? or in NYC maybe? i know it costs a lot getting there, but i'd imagine it not be hard to find Something in the city.. however menial it may be.. Check around in theatres, might be able to nap yourself an usher or Front of house job..
