Is there something wrong with liking background characters that I don't know about? I mean, just beacuse they might not have their own songs or get their own big pages in brochures, or occasionally get cut, they're still important right? Just because they don't have hords of fanboys/girls doesn't mean they can't have devoted fans too.

im assume we're talking about Krupp here?
erm.. no, nothing at all wrong with loving background characters..
they're the only ones I love.. the others get enough adoration from fans..
but with background chars, theres so much more you can do with them.. theyre not as developed on stage (or if they are, its from the personal actor/ress and not the writer)
nothing wrong with it at all!!

*sigh* Krupp, Coricopat, Tantomile... Way I figure, they're like a baseline in a song. Take that out and you don't have as nearly as good a song. I guess I'm just a little worn down from being told that I should quit going on about how Krupp was left out of the tour. It's just... I like Krupp.

Well, said comment was coming from the person who's only responce to my trip report to see the US StEx tour was "You just had to find something to complain about." when I wrote, that while I really enjoyed the show, I didn't really like the changes in music or the Trax character because I didn't think the character really added anything to the show.

Background characters ROCK! Because they're not in the spotlight, the actors have much more freedom to ad-lib, to bring something personal to the role. That's what makes shows like StEx and Cats so special- that what I find WWRY lacks the most. You'd have loved StEx on Weds- Ken Nelson as Krupp! He'd got Electra's red lipstick...

Jouley Heh, just wait. When they get home Krupp's going to have short-sheeted the beds and not replaced the toilet paper rolls.
