Human, I'd guess. But since all the trains have been mixed with about 50% human to make them useable characters, why not mix a human character with about 50% train to make them fit in?

was just reading over this thread and started wondering - does Control count as a character? if we're counting Trax then surely Control is some sort of character, i mean i know we never actually see him but he has an integral part to play i would think (please be kind and don't throw tomatoes at me for being awkward hehe)
anyways was just a random thought xx

I suppose Control's as much of a character as the Starlight Express is. But can you can you call a pre-recorded voice that never changes(except when it's re-recorded) a character? Does a character have to be something that can change interpretation?

I've already thought about it, too, but it's really difficult... We could characterize Control, but as it's been said, we never see him and his voice has only been changed once or twice (and for different countries' productions, of course...), and we actually don't know much about him (or her, since it's a girl's voice at Bochum now...  ). |

ah cool - i didn't realise that Control was only changed a couple of times i thought he/she was changed with every production (except the tour)
i guess he isn't really a character but then im not sure Trax is although i see why he is more so than Control. its always good to find out what folks opinions are on these things tho ;D
