Hey boys and girlz!!! Wow, a good feeling to be here again! So much time has past since I looked into the forum. Many funny things happened, I see ;D Well, I had no time to enjoy the forum because I was preparing everything for my confirmation. For that one great day! I think, that whatI tell next isn´t ineresting for all of you, but I hope some people will read it. Really, some people say that everything which goes with church is boring, but it isn´t. In the meetings before my confirmation I met many funny people and new friends! This day I won´t forget... the days befor I was sooo nervous and then, it was sunday the 29th of april, there was that morning for that i´ve waited for so long! In church I shivered and I felt queasy. When we had to stand up I got dizzy and that all because of my confirmation. But I think it was just ´cause I hadn´t had breakfast this morning. I forgot it in the excitement! After church everything was allright. We ate our buffet and had much fun. The presents I got were great, too. One of it is a ticket for "We will rock you". :DMaybe i tell you about. Tell me what happened to you in church. Or ws it totally boring? I would like to hear your stories. Bye, Piz ;D

Ehm... mostly what happened to me in church was that I got patronised and belittled, and ignored if I asked an awkward question.
Fortunately I left before I was old enough for the pastor to perv over.

Congradulations! I remember my Confirmation - I was so nervous, too! I remember studying frantically during my party because I was afraid I'd get a question wrong. My pastor was really cool though, and went easy on us ;D

Congrats Piz I remember mine - I was nervous as all get-out.
Fortunately our pastor wanted us to be able to spend more time enjoying the day than stressing about it, so he told us ahead of time what questions we would have to answer.
And the party afterwards was fun ^_^

Congratularions from me, too, even if some time has already passed since then. Well, I didn't have a confirmation, because of the simple reason that I'm Catholic...but I remember my First Communion being just great - with all my family and friends, and of course that white dress... And I'm going to have my "Firmung" (it's also "confirmation" in English, but in German, these are two different words, and it'd look strange if I first wrote that I didn't have a confirmation, and then that I'll have one...^^) next year in January, and I'm looking forward to it, even though I don't really got friends who do it together with me this time, and that bunch of people who'll be confirmed, too, aren't really sympathetic...but I'll enjoy it, anway, because it will be a great celebration with all the family and friends!

I found friends in the confirmation lessons. That was much better at the day of the confirmation. Woody had the same problem like you. There were many people who are her friend, but the confirmations were on two different sundays. Only one person had it the same day as her. The rest were people she doesn´t like. Some of my friends in school have the "Firmung" soon, too. I hope yours will be fun. My confirmation was. ;D

I feel nice and slow today Could someone explain these confirmations to me? I'm not entirely sure what they involve. What are they about?
