I probably wouldn't care about football either if I'd had to encounter hooligans! But I grew up in a place where the worst thing about football were unintentional fouls. Used to play with my brother.. or at school, girls vs. boys. The commercialisation can be quite annoying, but if you like football you'll survive that, too. I actually convinced myself to try the home game ice cream yesterday... won't have it again though. Anyway, 1:0! Goooooooo England!

There were people doing face painting at Swindon station today, I'm sure that some here could do a good job of that.

The whole turbulence about the world cup is so much ennoying me! Last WE when Germany had won it has really been insufferable here... -_- I was never interested in football, and I also don't really watch the WM! Let it be over soon...

In that case I hope yesterday was bearable for you *wink*
And again, gooooo England!
I'm glad Ghana qualified for the next round, at least one African team's in it! Just hope they will actually get their reward should they win the cup (maybe you've heard about the controversies what with unpaid African players etc).

Some useless comment : Driving an listening to WDR 2 yesterday afternonn at 14:55 h, they announced their World Cup broadcast about Germany:Sweden to start after the news. So I thought the match started at 15:0 h - turned out it started at 17:00 h. Why do you have to start broadcasting two hours in advance when both teams have played three matches before and every player and his family should have been interviewed more than once? Yes, I know I could have kept listing to find out *lol*

lol well it's all over now... apart from all the post-world cup interview of course congrats to Italy, even though I really didn't want them to win. maybe it would have been different if Zidane hadn't done such a stupid thing. first rooney, now him! Really wonder what went on in their heads when they did that. surely they knew about the consequences!

Yes, Zidane was a silly boy for doing that! however Italy won and my friend now has money in his pocket as I told him to bet on Italy winning. ;D Thank God it's all over, we had a parade of 6 or 7 Cars zooming up and down the high street last night tooting their horns and waving Italy flags for about 3 hours whilst I was trying to get to sleep.
