Perhaps the most awesome and timeless sitcom to ever grace British screens! Lovelovelove. Managed to dig out a couple of eps on Youtube to watch over dinner. For those who haven't seen it (and ergo, have been sorely deprived!), here's a link to the one I'm watching at the moment. The hotel's owner, Basil Fawlty has to deal with a very cantankerous old deaf woman, with hilarious results. (Ignore the silly ad at the beginning of the video). www.youtube.com/watch?v=lBX5rW5pgZg For those who have seen it....favourite moments etc? ;D

Manuel's hamster!!!
Also Basil in the hospital, pretending to be asleep until the doctor leaves...it doesn't sound funny putting it like that but damn how I laugh. Timeless classic. ;D

Oh yes, Fawlty Towers, it's awesome! ;D One of my fave scenes is when he gets angry at the car and starts beating it.

Oh god yes! The beating up of the car is just....amazing. "Right! I've laid it on the line for you time and time again! This is it! I'm going to give you a damn good thrashing!"
*enter branch stage left....* ;D
Oh, oh, and I looove the one with Lord Melbury, the con artist. Especially when Basil realises who he is, and nearly has some sort of breakdown XD

It's like, it shouldn't be that funny at all...a guy hitting a car with a branch...but it IS! ;D
And the picture episode. Is that the same one as Lord Melbury? I think it is. The end of that episode is fantastic. ;D

Re: Lord Melbury episode. Had to watch that at uni in a linguistics class, that was my first exposure to Fawlty Towers.
