So yeah, yesterday I was working out all the trips and events I'd love to organise this summer, various costume meets.

The most obvious is the Open Day- 4 nights in germany, everyone who is ANYONE going, much fun and madness to be had. But there's a whole separate thread for that...

As a preliminary to the Open Day, we've been planning for years to have a costume meet at the Bluebell railway! How much fun it'd be to run around with the real steamers... (probably won't be allowed skates tho) but photo oppertunities! I'd love, if possible, for us all going to the open day to go to the Bluebell Railway the weekend before- also giving us time to alter anything on costumes that's necessary before germany.

Jouley's grand plan of a triple WWRY meet- three nights, first as GAGA kids, second as Yes-Things, and third as Bohemians. Should be a RIGHT laugh!!!

The last costume-meet is one that never materialised last year- have our own Jellicle Ball! Hopefully, we'd be able to rent out a camping ground vaguely nearby, and play this mad wide-game in the dark, I'm sure we posted loads about it last year? Basically it'd be an all-nighter in Cats costumes, we'd have a campfire and a tent, hopefully some music too, and a lot of crazy fun!

That real life Jellicle Ball sounds like it would be fun. But I'm stuck in the US. *pouts*

I suppose I can live with the cosolation of having already gotten Memphis to swear to come and visit when Erikonil and I go to an anime con.

Just so you know, belle.. im starting to doubt my willingness to go to Open day this summer.. Forgive me for saying this (and im sure the gods will strike me dead) but i really dont want to see Starlight again.. i dont think i enjoyed the trip last year at all.. apart from Bochum Total and the Mighty Table of Thongs...

Thinking of possibly flying back here in September.. either fly home to NY and pick up all the junk ill need for the school term.. but while here, flying out to Las Vegas for the premiere of WWRY ... then back to NY and then back to England.. or possibly skipping NY and going straight to Vegas..

im not ashamed to admit i'd rather see WWRY over Starlight.. and the Open Day was kinda pants last year.. and it doesn't look like the crowd is going to be any different this year.. I can dress us as a train with you guys all summer long.. why do i have to do it in Germany?

But on the WWRY plans.. yes, much fun shall be had by all. Im making my Yes Thing trousers right now, as it turns out... i spent all that time making patterns and i ended up laying a pair of khaki's on the fabric and cutting around them.. heh. Don't have any white ink right now to do the lines, but ill post the trousers themself when ive finished :-D

Couldn't find any more of that white fabric though at walmart But im sure we can get some easily elsewhere...

Awww, Jouley, I know you didn't have fun in Bochum last year- hence all the plans to do it COMPLETELY differently this year! NO stress, lots of sleep, we'll be in the Novotel next door to the theatre so we'll be able to nip back for a break in air-conditioned bedroom at any time... Please give it another chance?
