I constantly hear about it on the news, but I didn't actually listen to their show, so it's a bit hard to tell. It all depends on your sense of humour I suppose.. Two things in favour of the two: 1) The show was pre-recorded and Russell for one is known to go over the top (sometimes also Jonathan). The UK is the most p.c. country I know, so how come the show wasn't checked (and possibly censored) before it was aired? 2) Apparently there are now 27,000ish complaints and this is made out to be huge. But why wouldn't people complain if it's on the news every 5 minutes? Having said that - and again I didn't listen to their show - they shouldn't have done this. My punishment of choice would have been a) a public apology (done) and b) to seriously humiliate Rusell & Jonathan in public in some way or other, possibly for something charity-related (I'm thinking of a certain Season 4 Beverly Hills episode with Steve's charity thing where people throw a ball at a target and if they hit it he falls into the water, but I doubt anybody else remembers this )

The girl slept with Russell Brand. WHAT DID SHE EXPECT??? I have no sympathy for her whatsoever.
I am surprised Jonathan Ross got so carried away... the person responsible was the programme editor who seems to have behaved badly- checked with Andrew Sachs who specifically asked it to not go ahead, but it went out anyway. That's severely wrong and needs to be sorted. What they actually said, not a problem.

Andrew Sachs's granddaughter deserves no sympathy. The people responsible for the calls, Johnathan, Russell and the producer alike should have been more responsible and deserve every thing they get. The person who suffered from these phone calls is Andrew Sachs. They were unfunny nuisance calls. Would you want people you had probably only met once or twice in your life phoning you multiple times to tell you that your grand daughter/ daughter/ sister/ dad/ whoever had slept with them? Would you like it if the recording of these phone calls were then broadcast to the nation after you specifically had said you didn't want them to be aired? No, I can't say I'd want it happening to me and I'd certainly be pressing charges, so really I'd say the 3 responsible for the calls are lucky.
