I skate on the pavement, no policemen have pulled me over yet.

apparently the pavements are legal for everyone who isn't motor powered as long as you move along them with due care and attention for other pedestrians. That's the only rule.........
AWESOME!
"roller girl" how original........*lol*

I heard that it is illegal for rollerskaters to hitch onto the back of 'fast-moving vehicals'. Milk floats don't count as fast-moving vehicals though. It's not illegal to skate on pavements, rollerskaters have the same rights on the road as pedestrians do. My friends and I skate in the estate near our house, as the pavements are smooth and there aren't many cars there.

Milk Floats still exist? I haven't seen one for years. Honestly I don't think they could manage the hills around here, which of course sucks for rollerskating too.
Hitching onto the back of fast moving vehicles illegal? I'm not surprised that would be dangerous as hell, but it doesn't seem to stop the odd lunatic on a skateboard at 3am tearing up the A30 hanging on to the back of a car.

Of course the big problem with milk floats is that they're only around at 5 in the morning...
