Never ever let your Problems Push you. Always be the one to push your problems away. Journals are medically acceptable ways of keeping mentally fit. You should never feel intimidated by others to post in YOUR Journal. You should always be free to vent as you need to to help you through your troubles. People DO NOT HAVE TO READ IT. So don't LET them tell you all you ever do is complain. Tell them, "All you ever do is FOCUS on my complaints."
everyone needs a shoulder! I am medically bi-polar. I take medication, I see a doctor. yet still I go through mood swings and horrible fits of depression. It's no-ones fault. The way I have found to deal. is to post rant sessions online. it doesn't make me a bad person. It does not mean I like "pity parties". it means I have a medically inspired fit of depression at least once a month if not more.
when people pm me, or e-mail me complaining about these online rant sessions. it hurts. THEY DO NOT HAVE TO READ IT!
the point I am trying to make is this.
People have a right to vent, rant, complain, and be over dramatic. It is human nature, it is natural, and it is medically acceptable. NO HUMAN is a robot, no one can be HAPPY, POSITIVE and perky all the time. Some of us never can be happy online, because it is where we go to escape the real world.
so go ahead. complain on your private journal. RANT. Let it ALL OUT!
I'll be here when you get back.

I can't write journals... someone I know always finds them and spreads the word, which means I have to start censoring what I write so I dont spill something that person A knows about but person B does not, or vice versa...

That's the joy of the 'private' setting.

I have that very same problem. what I did to remedy it... I created a journal with an entirely random name, and changed all personal info. I then set the journal to private, and when I rant about individuals. I change their names. ^.^

Ooh, where do you keep yours? If you don't mind, of course? DeviantArt. My username is Cezanator. I should try to work out LiveJournal, I hear good things about that. I've never actually given it a try, though.
