Now, possibly I'm over-reacting and there's a software glitch, but right now there's adverts showing BETWEEN the posts in a thread. As Admin I've not been notified of any changes being made... I'm finding it annoying and distracting - but what does anyone else think? I don't think it'd be a huge financial investment to get rid of them, $7 or $14 a month, depending on how many hits we get.

I find them slighly irritating, but that's only because right now they are where the next post you wanted to read used to be. I think it's just a matter of getting used to it. Sure, they are more noticeable than before, but they put them there to take away your money! Don't pay, don't let the evil message board people win!! Ahhhhhh!
(sorry, too much chocolate)

I don't think they're that much of a bother, as Jewel said it's just a case of getting used to having them there. They don't seem bad enough to have to fork out money for IMO. If you've not been notified though, then perhaps it might be worth emailing whoever you should contact for problems with these boards, to see if it is a glitch.

I think they're annoying...they really confused me when they first started showing up! But I don't reckon it's worth paying to get rid of them...But I don't think it's a glitch, because it's doing it on other Proboards forums too. I reckon they're just trying to be irritating

You know what? I can't see these adverts! When I look at the board, in every thread there's a gap between the first post and the rest of the posts but nothing actually appears in the gap. Perhaps my pop-up blocker is actually doing it's job?

jade: I fear it´s not a matter of pop-up blockers as these adverts are no pop-ups (and my blocker doesn´t care ). They´re integrated into the page and mostly direct under the first posting of each topic. At least that´s what I get to see...

Caby: I've figured it out. My Norton Internet Security has an ad blocker, which is why I couldn't see the ads at first. When I took off the feature, I could see what everyone was talking about.

From what I've heard they'll either go back to how it used be or we'll be able to choose where we want to display them.

I didn't notice until somebody pointed out the blank space. Firefox ad blocker is the best thing in the world
