My boyfriend lives near Surrey University near Park Barn, not far from the town. Dunno about any other Guildfordians though I'm afraid.

Wow, I didn't expect that many replies. Ceri: I'm sure your uni is very good as well. In any case in the future you'll be able to say you studied in Cambridge, good thing to drop in conversations! Also, I work near where your boyfriend lives. Live near-ish Abbey though, but Burpham area. Abbey - nice to hear from you again. I know what you mean about being busy, same here. New house, new job coming up, other things to sort out, ahhh! Thanks so much for offering to take us to Camberley, that's very kind! Bf has a car, I just have to prod him to make him use it! [rant]I spent the last four days convincing him that it's a lot more sensible to get that beautiful and FREE bed from our friend and pay for the van hire rather than buying an all-new bed and mattress on the High Street just so we don't have to leave Guildford.[/rant] Next few days will be spent convincing him that Camberley is not that far away. Still, would be cool to meet again at some point! I definitely want a washer dryer as well, the kitchen isn't huge, so getting both in one makes more sense. Bf wants Virgin, so I guess it's all good on that front then! -------------------------------------------------------- On a different note, within the last 30 minutes our housemates' cat has both had a miscarriage and given birth to a (hopefully) healthy kitten. I don't know whether to laugh or cry! We've only just decided that she's pregnant, she's not anywhere near due. I haven't seen the surviving kitten yet, but apparently it's black with a ginger patch around one eye. Cute! (please, please survive!)

Oh, that's so cute! I hope it survives! Sad to hear about the miscarriage, but best wishes to the little kitten! I'll ask my boyfriend to keep an eye out for you

Ooh I hope the Mummy cat is okay too!
Jewel, if you want to message me on facebook about anything that's cool, also I can message you the address of the place I went in Camberley, it's really not that far at all, me and the bf go quite often as his ma and pa live there.
catch up soon and I hope the planning for the move is going well. xx

Good news on the kitten front, Una (that's what my housemate has decided to name her) is a survivor and she has the loudest meouw I've ever heard, much much louder than her mum. I think she will open her eyes any day now... Also, we're still starting to move this week, have now done the most essential shopping in terms of furniture etc and I've just filled the first two moving boxes with our stuff. Have emptied half a bookshelf.. and then filled it again with CD's I had lying around in random places. Anyway, thanks for your help guys! PS: Don't know why, but haven't been able to log into the forum from my computer for ages until I installed Firefox today. I've given up on IE. Edit: Hooray, it's fixed! Apparently Windows had a time zone error and it made my computer think it was the 13th of September, which clashes with certain website cookies!

Move now completed! Still lots of stuff lying around everywhere, but at least my computer is now set up. There are no words to express how glad I am to not have to share the kitchen anymore, I'm going to be a master chefette! Have already made stuffed peppers, croutons and working on my first banana ice cream! (yes, I'm turning domestic)
