Does anyone want to come with me? At some point in the next 2 weeks? I've enough half price vouchers for a dozen people... www.chessington.com They now have a sealife centre! I want to go see how they've fitted that in on their grounds... Chessington's not... exactly... a big scary theme park. There's some nice rides- I LOVE the Vampire! - but the animals are as much an attraction as the roller coasters. But it's fun! They're open fully friday, sat, sun, and mon.... costs £23 online, or £32 on the door - but with the BOGOF vouchers that's £16.

Haha, Chessington is great. I went there twice this year! I could come along, but depends on my parents permission, money, transport, sixth-form stuff aaand if my boyfriend could tag along too. I have another friend whose planning a trip there too just in early March or something. Oh, and let me just say, I pawn everyone on Tomb Blaster. Got onride photos to prove it P.S. I am a total Chessie fan and theme park enthusiast soo if I do come, expect me not to shut up. But I am useful for info!

I'd totally be up for Chessington! It would be depending on transport, though - I move next Saturday so that might make things awkward. However til then I have use of a car...but I have no idea where Chessington is. Butyea, rambling aside I'd preliminarily like to join in. What dates are we thinking?

Would Sunday 21st September be good?
Chessington's off the A3, it's only about 5 miles from me... it's near Chessington South train station too, which is out of Wimbledon.
they're open 10 - 5 this month, so I would want to get there fairly early - not much point rolling up at 2pm if they're closing 3 hours later! So would want to get there 10, 10.30...
If it's much later than the 21st,it might be worth holding out til their halloween event - which is very cute and kiddy, not big and scary the way Thorpe plays it!

Per...haps. I need to find out timetables and trains and costs and distances and things...I'm only going as far as Cambridgeshire anyway. I'll get back to you about it methinks.

Pah, you load of miserable goodfornothing layabouts who've stopped me having fun... Today is a BEAUTIFUL day, and am I at chessington? No! Because NOT ONE PERSON actually could make it. *sulks* So, hoping that it's bad timing rather than everyone hating me, let's try again... Who could make it around Halloween? they're doing a special event, they're open til 8pm! oooo, late! Ride the rides in the dark! Note: This is NOT a Fright Nights like Thorpe does, a whole lot less... halloweeny, much more kid-friendly - but they've got cool rides, and open til 8! Can ANYONE come, at ANY TIME between the 18th October and the 2nd November? Only dates to bear in mind is the 25th - 26th October, which is when we hopefully will have Components cosplaying at Expo in London... Rachel, Ross, Ceri, Jess, and Mazz - that all good for you? Tho the 26th is also Wicked Day, but it's not looking promising to be a good event. They've rented a hall in the back streets around Victoria, rather than Wicked Day being a public event. But if anyone's desperate to go to Wicked Day, we could cosplay components on Saturday 25th at Expo instead? Either way, not the time to go to Chessington... Any other time in those 2 weeks? THREE weekends? PLEASE? ?

RE Chessington the first time: I'm s-o-r-r-r-y...bad timing is bad.
Expo - It's top of my agenda, and it's the same weekend I've sort of vaguely suggested something else but I can easily move that. Are we doing one or the other day, or both? I can take off the whole weekend but I'd need somewhere to stay overnight, I can't make the journey twice.
Chessington - EDIT: It's unlikely I can get there from Cambridge, because I don't think there's a train link. I can drive myself (and anyone along the way) from home, but that'd have to be during the holidays. I'll look into the train link but I don't think I'll have a free weekend in those three weeks anyway. So I might step out of this one, sorry!!!

First off, apologies for today- I know you've had a crappy time as of late, although this weekend was always going to be a sticky one for me, with or without the added complication of being ill.
Secondly- as Ceri said, totally up for expo...the Sunday would most likely be better for me tho.
And thirdly...none too sure about Chessington still. I'm not sure if there's anything else planned in the time you mentioned, but thankfully there're no more birthdays until November!! I shall check accordingly, however. My only other worry is getting there. Can't do it during the week as I'll be busy with college at least...weekend would be better (if I've not got work, that is), if we stuck to the same plan- although would Mazz still be able to give me a lift back home? Otherwise, I have no other way of getting home, really..
