Can I recommend claw clippers? They are wonderful things. Our cats are completely harmless and unmutilated because of them. Soft Paws are a sweet idea... I think they would be a 'hmm, how many interesting ways can I think of to get rid of these?' toy for ours, though.
I've got so used to blunt-clawed cats that it was a real shock to visit my aunt and play with Stanzi(my Birman's mother)... so many sharp, sharp little claws.

They just clipped her claws before we took her home. I'll probably end up getting some clippers for her in the future.
I'm guessing Soft Paws are those caps that go on the claws? I've heard of them, but I guess we'll have to see how the clipping goes before we do something like that. She's not really too terrible with clawing at people. A lot of the time it's the accidental happenings when you're petting her.

They're only glued on, and apparently they fall off fairly easily so if a cat didn't want their fake nails on, they would not stay on. |

Sam just made me aware of this, and it would be a crime for me not to post it. We've generally been calling Curley "Baby" for some reason, so her name is now Curley-Baby. This would make her initials.....
