heh the only problem with show tunes is that out of context some are just useless lol ya no like with a pop or indie or cheese or anything you can just pick it up no matter whats its about an just go crazy, where as musicals i find tend to mean something..an require you to actually pay attention to whats going on ya no?...but yer thats just my opinion.....dont get me wrong i do love musicals otherwise i wouldnt be training to be in them but i do think its healthy to stay upto date with whats happening at the moment in music as i think it keeps you that little bit more attached to the real world instead of the created world of musicals dunno where that all came from but it just came lol... love ya'll! xJx

I love to listen to oldies of the 60s, 70s and 80s! My favorites are The Mamas & The Papas, Middle Of The Road, Gene Pitney, Barry Manilow, Pink Floyd, The Moody Blues, The Fifth Dimension and much more... But even some few things from pur modern time I like; Evanescence, Nightwish, Hammerfall and The Rasmus.

That's like a pop song you could always listen to. @ Martina: Mamas and the Papas, Middle of the Road, whoa my first fav song ever was Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep.. when I was really small

Jewel: Hehe, I have learned to know Middle Of The Road when I was 8 years old! Since then I loved Oldies and I was more curious of them! I got to know more and more, and I have ascertained pretty fast that I liked them so much better than the most things of our times today! Especially the Woodstock-time of the 60s... ;D

I think it's about time I replied to this... Now what music do I listen to apart from musicals?? Hmmmm, [glow=red,2,300]DISNEY!!![/glow] Musicals and Disney, that's about it through choice. Oh and I would listen to the music from Cirque Du Soleil if it wasn't so expencive.... and you could actually get the current music for La Nouba.... Fussy aren't I? Other than that I listen to whatever dad has playing at home which really could be anything from African tribal through gergorian chant and on in to bird songs. Or what ever is on the radio at work because it has to be better than the chronic case of verbal diarrhea that some of the people I work with have.

@ Martina: Cool stuff. I only talked to a friend about Woodstock the other day, i.e. about Cocker's 'With A Little Help From My Friends' performance, amazing! *sings Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep in her head* @ Memphis: I love Disney, too. 'A Whole New World', 'Part Of Your World', ... I think those are my favourites. I don't really have many Disney CD's, just some BATB and a Disney compilation taken from a newspaper. Oh and Disney movies.. but in Germany.

I love the musical version of 'Can You Feel The Love Tonight', esp. the 'and if he feels the love tonight...' part at the end.
