I know, boring, but I feel I should lay down the ground rules.

Firstly, this is NOT a public forum- I run it. You have no rights, you miserable creatures... :P Everyone posts here as my welcome guests.

  • RESPECT.
Respect each other. I want this to be a fun, friendly community. NO personal attacks on other posters. I'll just ban you, and each time you re-join. I'll not have any bullying here, either publically or through private messages if they're reported back to me.
If you've a reputation in this community for trouble-making, just play nice, ok! I've no problem with you being here as long as you're here genuinely, not to cause trouble.
I'm all for reasoned discussion. But if you want to post something you KNOW people are gonna get antsy about, make very sure you've got a good reasoning behind your arguments! If you wanna say "I can't stand this actor because he sings flat and is more wooden than a very sticky stick", then ok. don't say "He's crap".
Oh yeah, language. I can't be a hypocrite and say "no swearing", given my own healthy saxon vocabulary... but swearing directed AT another poster is abuse, you'll just get deleted.

  • Bootlegs.
I can't pretend they don't exist. But don't brag about them or trade on this forum. That'll get us shut down. not good. What you do by email is your own business.

  • Viewing the Board
You must be a registered member to view the boards, apart from this general board. It saves so much hassle in the long run! If you're having registraion problems, EMAIL ME. It's unlikely to be your computer messing up, it's more likely the forum itself. Let me know and I'll try to sort it out.

  • errr....

  • that's it.

Just to add to this (only, 11 months after it's first posted, necroposting ahoy!).... Belle feel free to delete this if you want, as you say, your forum so do as you will.

If you do have problems with anything to do with this board, including anyone on it, PM Belle or myself, that is what admins and mods are for. We don't bite.... often. This of course includes if you have a problem with Belle or myself. We may be friends, but we know each others flaws.

I just wanted to make that point. Just get the feeling people have been afraid to aproach us when they have had problems in the past.

That is all, thank you ;D

Just wondering - are there any general rules on how large a siginiture graphic can be? I know at another forum I visit regularily, it can be no large than 200x10 pixels large because otherwise it just takes up space in a thread and causes a page to load longer.

I've not set definite rules, but if you think your sig might be too big, then it probably is! :P

A while back on another forum we were setting up sig file size rules, and I mocked up this as an idea:

I think that is as big as the forum can cope with, certainly on my screen resolution. But that might be too big for some people? Anyone object to that as a maximum size for sig files?

I only put mine up because I found someone else's signiture that took up a lot more room, so that's why I wasn't sure. If you decide that's what you want to go with, I'll take mine out.

Kovitlac, your dolls are so cute! I wouldn't want you to take them out, but can you squidge them up a bit so they take up a bit less space?

To make it clear, then - please keep banners under 500 x 150 pixels plus no more than one or two lines of text. Thankyou!

If something is broken, fix it with whatever you can find. If fixing with random junk doesn't work, kick it. If kicking it doesn't work, use gods gift...duct tape and if THAT doesn’t work, you're screwed my good man.

If you could get yours down a bit, it'd be good! I'm not about to ban you if it's not done in 10 minutes tho... :P
